Temple Flowers

It was Zone Conference week.  How great it is to be with all the missionaries in the Missouri St Louis Mission in three meetings throughout the week.  Tuesday we left at 5:30 am and headed north to go to Champaign, Illinois.  We love crossing the rivers that are really rivers (not the case in Southern Arizona).   We arrived early to check on an apartment;  it looked much better after it had had a major cleanup.  This area covers just two zones and is the smallest group.  We left the conference early to travel to see another apartment in Glen Carbon, Illinois prior to arriving home in the evening.

Wednesday we only traveled about 45 minutes to attend our largest zone conference that includes four zones.  With the recent creation of a new stake, we also have a new zone.

Thursday we left early again traveling south Cape Girardeau, Missouri which is situated along the Mississippi River.  There were three zones in the Cape meeting.  We were surprised that in the downtown area they had a huge water wall that was probably 20 feet high.  This Spring the water came within a few feet of the top. We ate in a restaurant that was around during the Civil War and where General Grant had a temporary headquarters.

Saturday the alarm went off at 5:15 am at which time we realized we needed to get ready and leave for the Temple in 20 minutes!  We had pretty quick showers and made the prayer meeting at 6:00 am.  It's good we live near the Temple.

Today it has been a nice day in St Louis and not quite as humid.  The missionaries in the Pagedale Branch are great and we have loved getting to know them.  We enjoyed our weekly Costco dinner with the CES missionaries; the Whitlocks.  They are the fun couple! We met in the MTC and came out together.
