Busy week, little time to update our blog, but briefly:

We continued our training; Karen was in her medical training Monday thru Thursday.  George traveled to the MTC on Tuesday and Wednesday for car and apartment training.

Friday we left for St. Louis from Salt Lake City.

Starting our drive up Parley's Canyon

We were VERY blessed with the weather!  We experienced some black ice and blowing snow, but otherwise decent weather.

We drove to Sidney Nebraska and spent the night.

Saturday we made it to Missouri!

Yeah--we made it!

We stayed in Independence on Saturday and went to the Liberty Jail Visitor's Center.  It was a very touching experience to be there and we would highly recommend visiting. The Ward we attended was wonderful!  The membership was something like 70% Samoan and very kind caring people.  We don't quite understand the connection between St. Louis and Samoa.

were incarcerated under very crude conditions

We attended Church in a Stake Center adjacent to the Independence Visitor Center which is located near the Community of Christ Temple.  We thought google maps mislead us when we drove up to the Temple; it is a very interesting design.
